Lessli brings over 30 years’ experience as a legal practitioner. In addition to practice in areas of law such as litigation, commercial, criminal and family law, Lessli established Lessli Strong & Associates Law Firm in 2002 before expanding the firm to Strong Law Pty Limited in 2008.
Lessli has always been heavily involved in community work and has had experience with a number of committee’s including:
- Chair for Children’s Services Committee of the ACT Law Society 2004 to 2006
- Student mentor and examiner for the Australian National University Legal Workshop
- Member of the Family Law Committee of the ACT Law Society from 2002 until 2012
- Facilitator for Family Law Committee Seminars to the profession
- Convener for Family Dispute Resolution Conferences for Legal Aid Commission of the ACT since 2001
- Member of the organising committee for the bi-annual National Family Law Conference held in Canberra in 2010
- Qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner approved by Federal Attorney General
Lessli’s other professional achievements include an Accredited Specialist in family law and Arbitrator in family law.
With over 15 years’ experience in the legal Industry, Matthew has a wide range of expertise across many of areas including insurance litigation, insolvency, family and immigration law, with litigation remaining a constant focus for him throughout his professional career.
Matthew has also further developed his professional credibility through an invaluable experience that found him learning Mandarin at a University in China, whilst also working for an organization that specializes in immigration for Chinese nationals.
Since returning from overseas, Matthew has successfully expanded the practices of Strong Law to encompass immigration law, and reflects on his extensive career to bring a powerful insight and knowledge into the practices of Strong Law as an accredited specialist family law firm.
Courtney graduated with a Bachelor of Laws at The City University London. She has also studied at the University of Queensland and the Australian National University. Courtney initially joined Strong Law as a paralegal while she went on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Upon completion of her studies and admission to practice, Courtney remained at Strong Law and began practice as a solicitor. As a junior solicitor, Courtney has gained experience in family law matters, including children and property.
Aaron graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (Distinction) from the Australian National University. Aaron spent several years gaining experience at Legal Aid as a paralegal and later as a solicitor before commencing as a solicitor at Strong Law. Aaron has experience in family law, particularly in parenting and property matters. He also has experience in parentage testing matters and surrogacy. Aaron was previously a volunteer at the Youth Law Centre, ACT. He has an interest in languages including Latin, Greek and Japanese.
